PART I. SMART CHECK TESTER
HOW CAN I CHECK IF MY SMART CHECK TESTER IS WORKING PROPERLY?
When you turn on the switch, if the front LED flashes and the buzzer beeps, it is working properly.
A properly working tester will continuously flash and beep at a period of about 1 second when approaching an energized fence.
WHAT CAN I DO IF MY SMART CHECK TESTER IS NOT STARTING?
Here are the steps to take to fix Smart Check tester that isn't starting:
1. Remove the batteries from the battery pack and put them back.
- If there is any corrosion, remove it and apply rust preventive (e.g. WD-40).
2. Turn the yellow protrusion of the switch in the CW/CCW directions several times.
3. If the tester still does not start, replace the batteries.

HOW CAN I ERASE READINGS SAVED IN MEMORY? (RED AND BLUE LABELS ONLY)
If the high voltage pulse is not detected within 15 seconds, the device powers off automatically to conserve battery life.
Watch the flashing LED is getting brighter and then dark again, and the display turns off.
The memory can be reset to zero, if the tester is switched off (push the switch on the tester) while the flashing LED is slowly getting brighter and then dark again.
NOTE: Red label means that the label color on the front of the tester is red.
NOTE: Blue label means that the label color on the front of the tester is blue.
HOW CAN I KNOW MY TESTER IS RATED 10KV OR 20KV?
Red and blue labels are rated 20kV, black and gold labels are rated 10kV.
WHAT DO THE LABEL COLORS ON THE SMART CHECK TESTER MEAN?
The red and blue labels are upgraded versions of the black and gold labels, respectively.
CAN I USE THE TESTER TO CHECK THE IGNITION SYSTEM OF A GASOLINE ENGINE?
Yes, you can use the Smart Check tester to check if the ignition system is generating high voltage.
When you touch the probe to the ignition cable jacket, the front LED will flash and the buzzer will sound if the ignition system is generating high voltage.
PART II. SMART LIGHT INDICATOR (SL-750 & SL-750 CLIP)

SL-750 SL-750 Clip Switch at Bottom
I INSTALLED MY INDICATOR AND TURNED ON THE FENCE ENERGIZER, BUT THERE IS NO FLASH, WHAT CAN I DO.
Push the switch at the bottom to initialize the device.
HOW CAN I CHECK IF MY SMART LIGHT INDICATOR IS WORKING PROPERLY?
If there is a five seconds startup flashes when you push the switch at the bottom, the device is working properly.
A properly working device will continuously flash at a period of about 1 second when installed on an energized fence adequately.
WHAT CAN I DO IF MY SMART LIGHT INDICATOR IS NOT STARTING?
If there is no flash when you push the switch, the battery may be discharged.
Please leave the device in a sunny place for a day to recharge the battery, then it will return to normal by itself.
WHAT CAN I DO IF MY SMART LIGHT INDICATOR HAS STOPPED FLASHING?
To get power from the sun and charge the battery, the device needs direct sunlight for at least 2 hours each day.
If there are more than 5 cloudy days, the battery may be discharged and the flash may dim or disappear.
When the flash disappears, the device goes into power-saving mode and will automatically flash again when exposed to sunlight for a day.
WHAT ACTIONS SHOULD I TAKE IF THE FLASHING PATTERN CHANGES?

Flashing pattern of Smart Light indicator according to fence voltage
Take the following actions depending on the flashing patterns:
1. Continuous Flashes ( Normal )
- No action required.
2. Three Consecutive Flashes ( Caution )
- Check for weeds touching the fence wires, bad insulators, etc.
3. Two Consecutive Flashes ( Alert )
- Check for overgrown weeds touching the fence wires, broken insulators, bad fence wire connections, etc.
4. No Flash ( Serious )
- Check for bad energizer, disconnected fence wires, etc.
DO I NEED TO RESET THE INDICATOR WHEN I TURN THE ENERGIZER OFF AND ON?
No, you don't need to.
The device remembers the settings in its memory.
WHEN AND HOW CAN I RESET THE REFERENCE VOLTAGE?
After extensive fence maintenance such as modifying fence length, replacing energizers, and removing weeds, it is recommended to reset the reference voltage.
Pushing the switch at bottom while the fence is energized will reset the reference voltage.
MY FENCE WIRE IS LOOSE AND MY SL-750 CLIP IS TILTING. IS THAT OKAY?
No. Since this device is powered by solar, it should be installed so that it is not tilted as much as possible. We recommend moving it closer to the post, or installing a secondary post to prevent the fence wire from sagging.
PART III. SMART LIGHT INDICATOR (SL-500)
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF THE TRANSLUCENT LENS DEVELOPS MICRO-CRACKS?

It is well known that all plastics are susceptible to sunlight to some extent.
They are particularly affected by UV(Ultraviolet) rays.
The fine cracks in the translucent lens appear to be caused by intense sunlight.
One solution to prevent further cracking is to apply a UV blocking spray.
For example, it is recommended to apply a headlight coating spray to the lens surface.
Please search Amazon for "headlight coating spray."
NOTE : The SL-500 version is currently discontinued due to parts supply issues and has been replaced by the SL-750 series.
